Depending on the direction of travel, the cruise links the Seine with the Bassin de la Villette, passing through the Port de l’Arsenal and the famous underground vault of the Bastille. A unique itinerary that blends historic heritage, lively neighborhoods and a typically Parisian atmosphere.

01

The Saint-Martin canal

The boat sails on the Canal Saint-Martin, one of the most emblematic and lively spots in eastern Paris. Lined with plane trees and lively quaysides, the canal passes through several uniquely charming neighborhoods. Metal walkways, swing bridges and waterfront terraces create a typically Parisian setting, much appreciated by locals and visitors alike.

02

The locks and the underground vault

Passing through the locks is one of the highlights of the cruise. The boat gradually crosses several basins, while the water level rises and falls to allow navigation. Depending on the direction of travel, the cruise also passes through the famous underground vault of the Bastille: an impressive tunnel pierced beneath the city and lit by natural skylights.

03

The Bassin de la Villette

The route also crosses the Bassin de la Villette, one of the largest bodies of water in Paris. This open space marks the meeting point between the Canal Saint-Martin and the Canal de l'Ourcq. A place for strolling and cultural life, the basin is lined with lively quays, barges and cultural venues. The nearby Parc de la Villette, Cité des Sciences and Philharmonie de Paris all contribute to the dynamic, creative atmosphere of this northeastern Paris neighborhood.

04

The Seine and Paris monuments

Part of the route links the canal to the Seine, offering a unique perspective on the capital's historic quays. From the water, Paris' emblematic facades are revealed from a privileged angle: historic bridges, museums and monuments that bear witness to the capital's history. This section of the route links the intimate atmosphere of the canal with the majesty of the Parisian river.
